-
The AWNA is an incorporated trade
association, governed by bylaws which are necessary to begin and carry
on its activities. The specifics of bylaws include things such as: the
name of the
organization, terms of membership, requirements for
meetings, terms for board directors and committee members,
what the fiscal year is, and the procedure for amendment.

Policy Manual that guides the Board |
|
-
In addition to bylaws, the AWNA conducts
business following a set of policies adopted by the Board of Directors.
Policies are guidelines that establish the parameters within which the
association conducts its business. These set the boundaries within
which the board itself, individual board members, board committees and
the ED
must operate and make day-to-day decisions in the ongoing operation of
the
association.
